Chakras are energy centers of the body, and they can often be balanced through herbal remedies. The leaves of the lemon balm plant are believed to help relieve the symptoms of depression and tension. A few drops of lemon balm essential oil are recommended as an antidote to depression. It can be enough to “shock” someone with depression out of their state.

Taken in large doses, peppermint oil is well known for its cooling, calming and analgesic properties. It is also thought to be a good herbal remedy for treating fevers, skin complaints, migraines and headaches. Peppermint essential oil is also believed to be antibacterial, and it is often used to help combat minor infections.

Tip 12
A tincture is an alcoholic extract of the herb in question.Meaning you can up your own tincture with the herb mixed with alcohol.

Tip 13
An infusion of herbs is made by placing 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried herb or 2 to 4 fresh herbs in a carrier oil like sweet almond or water and then strained after about 10 minutes. The water does not have to be heated by the way.

Tip 14
Mint tea can be used to treat nausea, indigestion, colic, flatulence, migraines, and fevers.

Tip 15
The leaves of the Burdock plant are most commonly used to create a healing tonic for common stomach complaints, including indigestion and overall digestive weakness.
